When the recession hit, like many other Americans, I lost my job. As the bread winner, I had two small children to support and a house payment. In order to survive and put food on the table, I started using credit cards. Does this sound familiar? I was eventually able to find another job, but with a huge decrease in pay. I had enough to pay current bills, but not enough to cover the huge credit card bills with mounting interest.
